I d give zero stars if it were possible. Tierney in the collections department is the RUDEST person I ve had the displeasure of speaking to. A debt from 2012 was being sent to my 85 year old grandmother s house for YEARS without my knowledge. When I first called to set up payment in 2017, I was told payment plans didn t exist and had to be paid in full. I couldn t afford that as a young woman just starting out in the financial world. Yesterday, I paid $2,600 in full. I was not given any kind of receipt and was told that my wages wouldn t be garnished. Come to work today to find out that they lied and my wages are being garnished! Thankfully, I work for a company who employs honest people. My payroll department explained to me how lawyers offices lie and use scare tactics to have you run to them and pay them. Then they leave out the little detail that it takes 30 days to process anyway! So now I ll get my next check garnished AND have to wait another 2 months to get MY money back.
I call Tierney to ask for a receipt of payment to be emailed or mailed to me. She (with an attitude of course) told me what do you mean receipts? we don t send receipts we send stop letters. You re telling me that you don t send receipts of payment...for the person who paid it... with THEIR money?? lol you ve got to be kidding me! I asked to speak to her manager and she then proceeded to tell me to have a nice day and hung up on me. I called the office again and another operator hung up on me. If this is the way you d like to conduct business, you need to re-evaluate some things.
So basically to sum up this long story; beware of this place. Don t be like me - do your research first.
