I spent 10 days here providing IT support to a large conference that was held in the Convention Center and overall, I had an extremely poor time during my stay at this Gaylord location. But first, let's cover the good stuff...visually the Gaylord is extremely impressive, in fact I would go as far as to say that the the Gaylord atriums are among Nashville's must see locations while visiting and that pictures can't really convey the size, scope, and beauty of the gardens within it. Also, the staff can be extremely helpful and friendly, which is good because virtually every other aspect of this property will make you want to tear your hair out in frustration. These frustrations include, poor and inconsistent housekeeping standards, poor climate control in the rooms and public areas, poor room soundproofing, poor security, lack of warm water for the shower, weird and inconsistent hours at the restaurants meaning your food choices can become extremely limited very quickly, every restaurant I tried had extremely poor food at extremely high prices, the prices for gift shop and travel items was exorbitant, and the list really goes on. Overall I found that this location did not even come close to living up to it's reputation or even the tone of other reviews posted here, the experience was one star in every way and the location only gains its second by having such a great staff and due to its visual appeal.
