WOULD GIVE IT A NEGATIVE RATING IF POSSIBLE! COMPLETELY DISGUSTED!
My mother went in 2 days ago (between 9 AM - 12 PM ) vomiting uncontrollably, unable to breathe, unbearable migraine. She had to drag herself up the railing at the front stairs to get to the ER department. Then upon talking to her coworker who brought her in, was asking if she thought it was this or that, concerned and in pain. Her friend told her that the front desk upon hearing them rolled his eyes at her. When they did call her back to triage, her coworker told them she was too weak to walk (kinda obvious). The guy rolled his eyes at my mother AGAIN and then brought the wheelchair.
We have a family hx of cerebral aneurysm, however they treated my mother for the migraine with fluids, antiemetics, pain meds, and magnesium. She responded positively. So they decided doing a CT was unnecessary. They did do a x-ray for some unrelated hip pain. Then discharged her before noon.
My mother, her coworker, and myself are all medical professionals who have worked in a variety of professional settings including hospitals. This was completely inexcusable uncaring unsympathetic behavior from the front desk. And a liability for the back. My mother is having another migraine today, and if it gets worse we're going to another hospital. But we'll be sure to let the med center know as well as our insurance that Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center only provided a bandaid for the issue at hand and did not attempt to diagnose the cause of my mothers problem (they told her to seek a referral to neurology from her PCP).

What goes around comes around, and one day all those people who treated my mother poorly will be in the hospital for something. And I hope they get what they give.
