They closed a year ago for Covid and never opened again. I've been waiting over a year for an appointment to get critical citizenship documents and whenever I contact them all they say is "keep waiting" and they seem to think that's a reasonable answer. What's the point of having a consulate if it can't help US citizens abroad in a 12+ month time frame? How this consulate treats US citizens in Toronto is a disgrace. I'm very disappointed in Susan Crystal.

And don't bother calling their number, they just tell you to go to the website. Whatever they've been busy with the last 12 months it certainly isn't answering the phonecalls of US citizens, which they cannot be bothered to do.
