We had my mother, first in the ER, then in a private room for 6 days. We found the staff to be caring, concerned, and very helpful. The ER wait was long with the long line of ambulances bringing in truly critical patients. Once we notified the staff that her foot was swelling from the clot in her leg we were quickly brought into and ER examining room and the doctor attended her immediately. During her 6 day stay, with her having advanced Alzheimers, she had to be fed. The staff took care of breakfast and dinner with us feeding her lunch. Never spending the night in a hospital myself, I was told how miserable hospital food tasted. Nobody told these people because the bits I tasted, the food was awesome. It's like something I'd order in a nice restaurant. The key to all this is be a patient patient, and all will work out.
