i bought what thought was the "ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE". What i got was the "ULTIMATE HEADACHE". I bought an so called CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 650I BMW from BMW of Devon IN PA. march 2016. I had my first Drive train malfunction warning on my dash a few months later. it is now 2018 and problem still occurring. BMW OF THE MAINLINE IN Philadelphia, has been for a sentence been fixing the problem, but the fix is temporary. i was inconvenience many times , and simply took the v car back to be "REPAIRED". The "ULTIMATE iNSULT " was this weekend 07/27/2018, i was in New York visiting, and at around 10 pm the car shut down in the middle of one of the busiest highways in New York (middle lane).Anybody who knows BMW, knows that when the car shuts down the transmision locks so that the you cannot put the car in Neutral fo rit to roll. I had no way of getting the car out of the lane, even with people willing to push me to the side. Even More "ULTIMATE INSULT", when i finally got the car to the only BMW DEALER IN Brooklyn New york . I FELT LIKE I WAS BEING HELD HOSTAGE, THE Representative immediately started quoting labor cost and how long thwy would have to keep the car. i told him this was a re-ocurring issue , and his words to me was " This has nothing to do with us, that is the other dealership. i know each dealership is independently owned, but i also thought they had to adhere to a certain standard that BMWUSA set. I am apparently misguided in my thought. So now i have to incur charges for repairs that should have been done by one dealer to another dealership. if this is not highway robbery, then i do not know what robbery is. There i so much more this story, that it would take about ten more pages to explain, i am just disgusted with the whole situation , and wished i had never seen a BMW DEALERSHIP!!!!!
