There's an especially beautiful hike around the lake on the old road that used to be used for the carriage entrance. It departs from a point 1/10th of a mile from the actual lodge entrance and gives the impression of a long wilderness trek to reach the camp. Upon exiting the camp, visitors were simply taken across the 10th mile bridge to come to find out what it means to be part of the Gilded Age: impressions are not reality, but fun nonetheless. The pictures I posted are of the farthest point from the lodge, at the lake outlet.
