My brother was independent and lived alone. However, he needed a worker to assist him on a day to day basis. Yes, he was high maintenance, but it did not excuse the fact he did not have anyone to go over to his apartment to see him visually. I did not know he changed agencies until this past week. He had medical issues, and the worker was supposed to make sure he was taking his medication. The lack of professionalism, uncaring, and no help, he did not receive. My brother passed away from a massive heart attack. I strongly urge you to find an organization that genuinely cares about the people they serve and puts their needs ahead of their own.
