I hate rating a company 1 star but last year at this time I logged into my auto policy to make my monthly payment as normal and due to new technology updates/website issues on their part my payment was applied to my homeowners policy instead (which is normally directly paid by my mortgage institution not me). Then I was mailed a letter stating I was dropped for no payment and in order to continue I would have to pay reinstatement fees. I called my local representative and spoke to someone at the main office and it was clear I had made my payment but it was applied wrong (their fault) and therefore they would be refunding me my money minus all the fees which were quite expensive. Instead of using common sense and seeing the bill was paid on time and admitting their tech glitches they tried to blame me saying I must have logged into the website on the wrong account. This was an impossible scenario since I only have login info for my auto policy. They refused to take responsibility and said I would have to be totally dropped or pay the extensive late fees.
My local agent told me today....a year later that they were in fact having major tech and website issues and were being stubborn and not issuing credits for the customers they screwed over.
I'm going to look for a new insurance company. I highly highly do not advise insurance through them.
