Not at all what I expected for a "resort". It is a small hotel surrounded by an apartment complex. Unless you use the valet, check in before you park. Parking is extremely limited and not convenient to the lobby.
The free wi-fi is terrible. The signal is weak and constantly disconnects. Forget getting any meaningful work done.
We first were assigned to a Palm "vacation apartment". Again, the parking was terrible. We could not park anywhere near our room. This unit looked like every college apartment I've ever seen. The furniture was cheap looking and feeling. The bedroom was TINY. The bathroom and hall floors were covered with pill bugs/rolly-pollys and other beetle type bugs. If they had all been dead, I could have been satisfied with someone vacuuming again. However, many were still crawling. We asked to be moved.
We were then assigned to a room on a floor that had just been renovated. It did look nice. However, the chemical out gassing from paint/carpet/glue was overpowering. The shower curtain rod fell down twice while my husband was showering. The floor below was still being renovated and there were hammering and drilling sounds during the day. The thermostat could not keep up with the humidity. The room was damp all of the time, regardless of the temperature.
The desk staff was nice enough to us, although they seemed to be rude to each other.
