I'm from Buffallo and always on the lookout for go...

I'm from Buffallo and always on the lookout for good Buffalo eats in the area, so when I saw this place was only a couple miles from where we were spending our day I was excited. My excitement was short lived. When we walked in the door it was evident we didn't know whether to seat ourselves or not but the emplyees hovering around didn't bother to guide us so we sat down. No paper menus are provided so we had to take turns going up to the menu at the window (we have two small children) in order to decide what we wanted. After a normal wait time my chicken finger sub arrives and the "waitor" (read:kid who could care less if we were set or had everything) plops it down and walks away. No comment about where my husbands meal may be. My daughter and I shared my sub and finished it and we still sat patiently awaiting my husband's food. We waited about 15 minutes after we had FINISHED our meal to go ask where my husbands was. I was told it would be another 3-4 minutes "stromboli takes a long time". Irritated, but remaining polite I sat back down and we waited nearly another 10 minutes before the stromboli arrived at which point we asked for a to-go box. My husband complained to whom I believe was the owner on the way out and was told a pilot light went out. When he asked why we weren't informed of that or why they didn't just make the sub when the stromboli would be ready he was told, with an attitude, "things like this happen". I have a restuarant management degree and have both cooked and waited tables at multiple restaurants and while yes, things do happen, that doesn't make your customer unimportant. For one, she had the oppurtunity to let us know there was a setback when we ordered, then again when I asked where his food was, but we were just expected to be ok with having to wait 30 minutes between the arrival of meals with no explanation. Then when we complain we recieved excuses but never once an apology, which is all we were looking for. Then when we went to pull out of our parking spot we bavked up and stopped to put the care into driveand pull out and one of their delivery drivers pulled in front of us to get our spot before we could pull out. The food was ok, not by far the best representation of Buffalo fare in the greater Charlotte area (check out tavern on the tracks if you want an awesome Buffalo style meal! Fish fry to die for)....but mostly the owners make everyone from Buffalo look bad. Oh! And on the way out the door my husband asked her "so this is how you do buisness?" And was met with the response "well people like you come back". Nope, sorry. We will certainly not be back.
