Common fare prepared very well

We were 4 on a Monday night. Service was very good, prompt and articulate with good bus support.
The interior is very tastefully done with ample lighting that isn't too bright with dark wood tones. However the noise level was high with a moderately filled restaurant.
Based on a recommendation we all had the meatball appetiser, which was clearly no mistake. It arrived with 3 meatballs in a tomato sauce with fresh cut basal and a spoon of Ricotta.
The Ricotta was a nice contrast to the meatballs. They were hot and the Ricotta was cold. They were smartly spiced with no spice prevailing. In a red wine you would call it full-bodied. The Ricotta was just the right Sweetness from not being fermented to form a complement to the meat.
The Chicken was on the bone with polenta and sauteed spinach. The Chicken had a nice glaze and was not dry.
The Salmon was ordered medium and was Exceptional with delicate flavors preserved and a tiny bit of crispness on the outside.
My filet mignon was great! I had ordered pink warm center, and it came out perfectly prepared. It was served with Stringbeans that were flavorful and still had some bite and a small amount of mashed potatoes.
The coffee with desert was really good and the milk that came with my coffee was prewarmed.
Every one else had the brownie which was multi layer, one of them was peanut butter flavor and topped off with ice cream and a caramel drizzel.
I was told it was very rich and too much
(What are they nuts:too much chocolate?)
I chose the lemon cheese cake. It was topped with ricotta and two raspberries
I liked it because it was not too sweet
The lemon was strong but not overpowering with clear cream cheese flavors on a graham cracker crust, about 3" in size. I too could not finish it.
