This group misrepresents what they offer. They claim to have "Partnerships" with all OEMs for service and support, but in reality they do not. To put it simply, they charge a nominal fee for a service contract to cover your equipment with the hope that the time and materials fees from an instrument repair will be less than the price that was paid for coverage. They essentially undercut the service provided by the OEM to turn a profit for work they cannot perform in the first place. This practice is extremely deceiving in my opinion since there are many aspects that Specialty Underwriters does not cover from a coverage standpoint compared to a service contract purchased directly from the manufacturer.
