I went in for an oil change and everything was goo...

I went in for an oil change and everything was good until I got my truck back and starting leaving the dealership. There was blue smoke rolling out of the exhaust of my brand new truck, so I turned around and brought it back and the guy at the desk said that they overfilled the oil, OVERFILLED THE OIL?!. Is it not standard practice to check the dip stick after and oil change before you give the vehicle back to the customer? Hopefully no permanent damage was done.
