I used this title company to close on my first home. I was actually recommended by a family member so I felt comforable. Closing day came and every thing went well. Fast forward 6 months later when I get a letter in the mail saying I owe 1300 in taxes on my home. Although this is my 1st home I do know that taxes are paid up front at closing for the year and paid with mortgage for the following year.
Documents generated by Certified Title Corporation and signed during closing states they paid 12 months of taxes when is reality they only 6 months. I called the office with the Mortgage company I used in order to get this straighten out . Everyone whom I talked with was so nasty and didn't want to admit fault. They claim their records show different , although the documents are the same documents they provided me. Basically THEY SCREWD ME OVER AFTER I PAID THEM FOR THEIR SERVICE. Now I have to come up with 1300 or have my mortgage raised. I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone to use this company because they are liars and they are incompetent of doing their job correctly. A home is your biggest purchase and the process is very stressful and it's a shame that they have made my 1st home purchase a nightmare. I will be contacting the BBB after writing this.
