Natalie Canipe Review of Barrow Neurological Associates

The nurses and scheduling dept are very caring and compassionate.
I was assigned Dr.Andrew Choi currently in residency, for my possible neuropathy and EMG testing.
I had seen him twice, the most recent to obtain EMG results.
He was rude during conversation/ follow up,would cut me off, twist the symptons I spoke of,would go back and forth with my chief complaints and get frustrated with me.
I speak very direct and clearly to my team of specialists.
The 1st visit he wrote incorrect info in my chart in regards to a migraine med I take that helps my symptons as a chronic migraine sufferer.
My health insurance at the time refused to allow me to continue with that specific med,it took 6 months to get it as part of my regime again by a neurologist near me due to his notations.
Keep in mind Dr.Choi was only to treat my possible neuropathy conditions.
Again with my most recent visit he tried to step in and handle my care for my chronic migraines, order tests etc...I had explained to Dr.Choi I have a phenomenal neurologist and I have been under her care for sometime.
I do not need him acting as a neurologist on my behalf.
Dr.Choi continued to order labs,MRI "still" after my treating neurologist
already had that into effect.
My time as a patient with Dr.Choi was very frustrating,he failed to listen to me during visits, twisted my words, bedside manner very rude, would cut me off when I spoke.
Dr.Choi never explained my tests results thoroughly with EMG that was performed.
If I need to return to Barrow neurolgy in the future I will make it a point not to see Dr.Choi.
Much appreciation goes to the staff and physicians in the EMG dept, laboratory, scheduling, the amazing nurses and other physicians that actually care about their patients being heard and cared for.
