5 stars for authenticity, not for being fancy or high cuisine (which, of course, was never the purpose of these places...)

The concept of "milk-bars", subsidized kitchens with basic food, started during sovjet times and some of them still exists. This place seemed to be frequented by locals of all ages and from all walks of life.

Don't expect an easy time ordering if you don't speak polish or don't have a local with you.
