Booked a 5-day package because we were triggered by the environment and the appearance of the hotel. Unfortunately not a nice start to our mini holiday in our own country on arrival. Too few staff who are not aware of the arrangement, unkempt comfort room on the third floor (number 301) with a non-working toilet and the lack of towels. Two days / nights we had to use the toilet on the ground floor by the pool because all the rooms were occupied. Holes in the duvet cover and dust bunnies and cobwebs in the room meant that the stay did not meet our expectations at all. All in all, we had reached the irritation limit and we entered into a conversation with the manager. It soon became clear that we were not the only one when we saw and heard several families complain about all kinds of shortcomings. Fortunately, dinner and breakfast were fine! The manager apologized and showed understanding. Ultimately, the comfort surcharge was not charged and we were offered a bottle of wine upon departure. In my view, a number of the problems can be solved and / or prevented very simply, which could make the experience and experience of the guests a lot more pleasant. Personally, I would not book this hotel a second time and I really had a completely different pattern of expectations for a 4 star hotel.
