Bought a Certified Pre-Owned from here that had 6 ...

Bought a Certified Pre-Owned from here that had 6 year old tires on it. Didnt know at the time that 6 year old tires MUST BE REPLACED REGARDLESS OF TREAD DEPTH or I would ve argued with them a lot harder. I wanted new ones and asked repeatedly for new ones, but was told your tread depth is adequate for safety and traction in all weather conditions. You still got LOTS of tread left! And I trusted them because, why wouldn t I? Then I start having traction issues, even sometimes in dry weather. I slid more than once at considerable speeds, and might ve crashed if not for the traction assist. I just thought I was driving too fast, never occurred to me that there might be something wrong with tires, because I bought my car from a dealership and they told me they were fine. But when I took it to a mechanic, he told me that although the tread depth was in fact, fine; that my tires had advanced dry rot and had to be replaced immediately. And tires, of course aren t covered under the warranty lolololol. You do you I guess, but I think thats pretty messed up to send someone out on the road, on tires like those. I d strongly recommend you bring someone you trust that knows about cars to look over one you intend to buy from here.
