There is very little information about people living in the ancient times of Italy. B.C. In the 500s, there were four distinct civilizations in Italy. There were many tribes, including Celts in the north, Etruscans in the central region, Romans in the inner and mountainous regions, and Greek minorities in the regions from Naples to Sicily. The founding date of the Roman Republic was traditionally BC. 595 has been accepted. This year is the date when the last Roman king was exiled. Later, taking advantage of the clashes between tribes, Rome guaranteed its independence.

B.C. In 49, Caesar granted the Gauls to full citizenship. The Roman Empire gradually developed. It ruled the whole peninsula in the third century. The imperial center, which was later attacked by barbarians in the same century, moved from Rome to Milan. In the time of Costantinos, the center was taken to Istanbul.

Only Italy remained in the hands of the Western Roman Empire, which lost Gaul and other states. When the Eastern Roman Emperor Zenon commissioned the Ostrogoths to rule Italy, after four years of war, the Ostrogoths dominated Italy, and the Ostrogoth king became the absolute king of Italy.
