My mother had a diamond ring on her finger when she went in hospice, we couldn't remove it from her finger because it was tightly on her finger. After being in hospice and losing weight , someone took it off her finger . The staff was told but nothing was done to try to recover her ring. No one followed up with my family. It's bad enough to have a family in hospice but it is terrible to know someone took a sick woman diamond ring off her finger and kept it.
