Went here in August of 2017; though this is only the third different zoo I've ever visited (first out-of-state; zoos in SC don't exactly live up to their mission), this is definitely the best I've seen! My first-time encounters with a hippo, polar bear, both a regular and red panda, and even seeing a giraffe that is as old as me (May '97) were surprising and amazing! Bit pricey at the entrance, but worth the tour around!
