Cheap theater to go to, but you get what you pay for. The experiences I have had there have always been filled with one issue or another, from sticky floors to the heat/ac not working.

The employees are friendly and that's why they get one star. Read as: employees (concessions/ushers/cashiers/etc), not management.

On their Facebook page, they tend to start disputes with anyone who has any sort of criticism against them. They are immature and unprofessional. I'm not sure if it's the same person in charge of their FB page as their contact for comments/complaints on their website, but Gary Westmark is one of the unprofessional upper level managers that I'm speaking of.

One of his direct quotes when there were issues brought up about some of the things I mentioned above is as follows: "We maintain strict controls over our Facebook page, it is to remain an upbeat fun page to visit which is why it is by far the most popular movie theatre page in Rochester. We simply do not put up with customers posting untrue, argumentative, spam, or otherwise inappropriate posts."

Now I understand wanting to keep the website family friendly and appropriate, however, when you deliberately block people from posting who have legitimate complaints and concerns, and then delete their comments or the reviews they've posted, you are no longer being fair or honest and in fact are picking the best reviews to stay on your page.

The problem is that Facebook should not allow someone to have control of their reviews, that should be left to Facebook to decide whether reviews should be removed. I can start a page and get a 5.0 rating because all I have to do is delete anything negative. This is what CineMagic has done in the past. I'm not claiming that they do this with all as it's obvious they don't (they are below a 5.0)...they have in the past and still do delete certain ones.

One other theater in town has IMAX which is awesome...they also have many different discounts for military, seniors, students, Mayo employees, and possibly others. Not to mention the reward card they offer where you can earn free upgrades or items from the concessions when you spend certain amounts of money. In case you weren't aware, this is Wehrenberg.

Even Paragon has more comfortable seating than CineMagic and they are not a place I like to visit either.
