My go to for sushi in NYC. So consistently good it s hard to even attempt to try a new place.
Must sit at the sushi bar and do omakase. It ain t cheap. However, I ve never regretted eating there. It has opened my world to the different possibilities for fish to use for sushi. I used to hate Mackerel. Now it s one of my favourites. Just had an incredible sardine on this most recent trip. Being able to showcase a fish that is not always highly regarded is deserving of praise.
Also the rice is just as good as the fish. They say the rice is the star and the fish is to highlight the rice. I never believed that until I went to Yasuda. I never let a single grain go to waste.
