I was recently at Medical Center McKinney Hospital...

I was recently at Medical Center McKinney Hospital for a Spontaneous Pulmonary Pneumothorax. I was also 38 weeks pregnant. From the moment I first arrived in the ER to the moment I was released (two weeks later) holding my sweet baby girl from the labor and delivery unit, I felt like I was in the best possible care. I was an extremely rare case and I really appreciated the collaboration and I saw amongst the doctors, nurses, and different units. Not many pregnant women are admitted to ICU for a collapsed lung. I remember multiple of my nurses names. I will never forget their faces and I will never forget the impact they had on my life. They were caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. Courtney, from Labor and Delivery, was a superstar! She was by my side from the beginning. She held my hand when I was scared to death and encouraged me through some of the scariest moments of my life. I am forever grateful for the doctors and nursing staff at Medical Center McKinney. I wish I could go back and personally thank each and everyone of them!
