I WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE IT ONE STAR!!

I visited the Crowne Plaza Battersea several months ago and I have still not recovered from how disappointing the service was.
Although we had arrived at the hotel before our appointment, we were slightly delayed due to confusion about where the spa facilities were. We had little help being directed to this. Once we arrived at the spa facilities, we had a very cold reception as if were were causing an inconvenience. We had asked for the facial treatment but because we were running a little late, we could not have this but we accepted this. Despite this, we were shouted at for being late as if we were back in school. The members of staff made us feel as if they did not want us there and were incredibly rude. They also were mocking the fact that we have never been to the spa before even though this should have made them try to make us feel more at ease. We felt very small, out of of place and completely lost for words.

Because of our treatment, we did not use the spa facilities despite paying for it. When we went to complain, the member of staff was initially still very rude and argumentative until she realised that she had reduced my sister to tears. We received gift vouchers but have not gone back. I don't think we would go back if someone had paid us to!

I don't know why we were made to feel like this. I am not sure if it was the scarf on our head that meant we were out of place but I do not think such treatment can be put down to a bad day. This was meant to be a calming experience for my sister after a bad period at work and the fact that I had to witness grown women being shouted at was horrendous. I don't think I will ever forget this experience for all the wrong reasons.
