Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Bonita Springs Florida...

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Bonita Springs Florida roommate 10 July 2019

We checked in at 2 a.m. and the smell of the floors being polished was overwhelming. Absolutely nothing was open. We were provided snacks (chips and candy) but were not allowed a free glass of champagne because it was after 2.

Impressive Lobby and hotel and very well manicured grounds with various pools, fountains, water slides and jacuzzis. All of these close at dusk. My kingdom for a hotel that has a pool open late at night!

The room is large and mine had a view to the north. I did not have a balcony but you could open the sliding glass door and there was a railing. I had a comfortable king size bed with ample Outlets bedside and a small writing desk with adequate lighting. There was a very large flat screen TV on the wall and nice artwork. I was especially impressed with the ceiling fan in the room. I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel room with a ceiling fan.

The bathroom was large with two sinks and a nice bathtub and shower. The water pressure was very nice.

I don't understand the situation on the restaurants but only the Quick Serve restaurant seemed to be open at lunch time. There is a snack restaurant out by the pool that was closed at dinner time. There is absolutely nothing in walking distance as far as other restaurants or shops.

The fitness center is pretty adequate with a separate room of cardio machines and a decent amount of weights. There is a decent-sized locker room with showers as well. I do not believe that the fitness center is open 24 hours because access was through the spa gift shop.

They have a boat that will take you to a private island with a beach but due to rain they canceled this service on the day that I was here. The last shuttle to the beach seems to have been at 2:45. I found this quite disappointing as I do not like to be in the Sun and really only wanted to be on the beach just prior to Sunset.

While it's a very nice Resort Hotel I'm not quite sure what the point is. Unless you just want to get away from everything with your kids and do a lot of swimming or day trips from this hotel there's really nothing else here.

On the 8th floor around 8 p.m. a family on my floor decided to take their party into the hallway which included their barking dog and excitable kids. This is a popular Hotel for children because of the water slides, pools and lazy river.

The woman who checked us in, Karen, was extremely friendly and apologetic that she couldn't give us our free glass of champagne. I didn't really have any interactions with other staff while I was here.

It was a great Hotel for 30 hours but I don't think I'd want to be here much longer.
