Holly Nerone Review of Vizance
When our former insurance agent retired, we ended ...
When our former insurance agent retired, we ended up as clients of this group (they must have acquired his business/client list). We were fine with that, at first - until repeated issues that are frankly unacceptable when they result in leaving us exposed/uninsured. At one point they renewed a homeowner's policy and reverted to our former address (a home we no longer own); they also have auto-renewed an umbrella policy we had when we owned a rental property - a policy we asked to have discontinued when we sold that duplex. Two years in a row now they have also billed our bank for our homeowner's policy renewal, despite the fact that we do not escrow funds for that, we pay that bill directly, and we have specified the bill is to come to us. Instead, we receive a cancellation notice as our first "heads up" that the bill is already past due. That risks our credit rating, and also triggers our mortgage holder to initiate their own policy due to the non-payment of our own, and creates a huge cascade of problems that we then have to correct. All of these issues could be avoided if the agent did minimal customer service, like keeping the correct property and billing addresses straight. I could go on with additional issues, but, you get the picture. We are clearly just a number to them. In fact, they do not seem interested in periodically reviewing our family's needs. They just set us on auto-pilot for billing (and can't even get that right) and collect their fees... for what, I'm not actually sure. We are actively shopping around in the hopes of ditching this agency as we certainly cannot feel safe in their "care."
