I was transferred to Blake Medical Center yesterday because it was suppose to be guaranteed that this hospital would do my open heart surgery. Today, I'm told by the cardiologist that he might not do my surgery at all. The cardiologist also will not fill out my FMLA form but tells me I can't return to work for several weeks. How am I suppose to support my family if I can't get my short term disability? I could not have food or drink for a test they didn't even order and my spouse had to call several times so I could get dinner and some towels so I could take a shower. I'm thinking that I will just sign a release form so I can get to a better hospital in my local area. Why let this place continue to keep me here if the staff and hospital are not going to do my heart surgery but continue to charge my insurance and me.
