The owners seemed upset that we were arriving at 9:30PM on a Thursday night, even though the check in hours went until 10:00PM. Upon arriving, they were rude and unhelpful. The campground itself was nice--no complaints about the camping stall--it is close to the highway and a motorcycle pub, which can result in some loud noise throughout the day and night.

On our last night, there was a young boy going around the campground asking for bottle donations--we donated our bottles to him and thought nothing of it. Later on, we witnessed the campground owner yelling at him, that he was "stealing from his campground" (bottles--that he had asked people for). I stuck around because I was uncomfortable with the way he was talking to this child, and was worried about what might happen if I left. Very uncomfortable situation, stemming from the owners once again.

Upon leaving the campground, a family member let us know they had been charged an extra $150 for moving the fire pit. First odd thing about this was that the campground owner had come by on our last night and chatted with us for about 15 minutes around our campfire and didn't say anything about the fire pit! We'd moved the fire pit about 3 feet over because one side of it was close to the bush and we couldn't sit in a circle around it. $150 for a fire pit that was moved 3 feet is absolutely excessive, considering the fire pit was not in an ideal place to start.

All in all we will not be returning and I am giving the campground a one star because of the atrocious management. They were very rude and charging $150 for a fire pit that was moved 3 feet (and weighs about 10lbs and could be moved back very easily) is obscene. It is a greedy money grab set up so people will undoubtedly move their fire pit for better access and then be charged more than what camping the whole weekend costs. This also seems to be a trend among many other reviews on Google and Trip Advisor. Greedy, unreasonable management that is not cut out for the hospitality industry.
