Beautiful state park with great views of the Bay Area, San Francisco skyline, and all the bay bridges. You'll frequently encounter wild deer if you walk around the island. The guided tour of The Immigration Station is absolutely worth the $7 fee - our docent was Joe, and he lent so much depth and anectodal detail to the site. There are also interesting former army buildings of various kinds and in varying states of repair. A great way to spend the day.
