I shared a story that I heard with my counselor. I was stopped in the middle of my sentence by my counselor . She then told me she has friends that are related to the subject.. That I was not allowed to speak on this subject. It was political.
I called her supervisor. Told her what happened. She told me I only have a minute. What happened? I told her my concerns. Very fast. She immediately stopped me told me she supports the counselor. She was very very rude to me. She also told me some information about the counselor that was very private. After we hung up I received an email from someone from the office that I don't know who this person was.. The email contained information that was private from my counseling session. information in the email.
They have broken Hippa law. I have reported them. So you cannot go here and be on one side politically and speak about it in your session or you will be shut down by the counselor and the supervisor. Your private sessions will be discussed with other people in the office. I'm a victim of severe trauma. Now I am unable to trust any counselors and cannot seek help. I feel very betrayed by my counselor and Capital Area counseling. I just hope no one else has to go through this because it's very disturbing. They did a lot more damage to me than helping me.
