It was our first time here. I got the pork torta w/ a fried onion ring and coleslaw (extra $0.50). It was honestly kinda dry until the end and they barely put a teaspoon of slaw in it. As I opened the sandwich to make sure there was any slaw at all in it, Chelsea, our server noticed and asked if anything was wrong. I explained that I was expecting a bit more slaw than a smidge since it was extra $$ and at first she said that't what they normally put. Feeling gipped, put raised not to waste food, I continued eating the sandwich which got juicier towards the end. A few minutes later, when I had just a few bites left, she came back and left me a heeping sauce container of slaw saying "wait don't eat it (the sandwich) all yet!" That but more slaw made ALL the difference! She was SUCH A DOLL and came to check on us at least 4 times not including our drink then food order. Very attentive and had great suggestions from the menu including what goes good with what.
We sat outside on a Friday night to experience the full ambiance and hear the guest singer and guitarist better but they ended VERY shortly after we sat down around 9:40 pm. If you can't stand the humidity or bugs, dont sit outside. I had a decent-size spider suddenly appear on my menu as I was ordering and a table full of girls next to us started screaming towards the end of our meal because of what looked like a moth flying into their food and drinks. One shouted cockroach, but it didnt look like one to me.
My friend got the "pick 3 tacos and a side" meal. She ate one brisket taco and all of her fried pickle skewers and she was full. They were very big and generous looking tacos.
