We've been to Russell's on a few prior occasions so I will start by saying this "fair" rating is not the norm. We were somewhat surprised at the greeting we received at check in. The clerk/host made a terrible first impression which started us off on a bad note. She was not friendly or receptive at all. On the contrary we definitely felt like we were a bother. We needed to show a valid credit card (understood) which is the norm however my wife, who usually takes care of these matters forgot her purse at home and my wallet was tucked away in our luggage. While it took less than a minute to retrieve it the frown on her face said it all. We did NOT feel welcome at all!! Upon reaching our room we wanted to relax and let the incident pass however the sounds coming from the hallway made the passing party of people seem like they were right there in our room with us. It seemed like the walls were not much of a sound barrier. On a brighter note, dinner was fabulous as always.
