I absolutely love this place, if your looking for a pet this is the place to go and yes the drive is most definitely worth it!
Last year my boyfriend and I had lost our shiba inu and the home didn t feel the same, I looked everywhere and couldn t find anything that sounded like it would fit with our life style.
His farther sent me pictures and the website, and I immediately fell in love with what was on offer, next thing I knew we were both heading down to take a look, the process of looking at adoptions was something new and I think one of the desk workers was slightly annoyed by my not knowing.
Other then that the staff was super nice, they let us spend as much time as we wanted to was the dog we were looking at, unlike the other shelters in New Hampshire were its you have five minutes to decide and if you do you have to pass a absolutely moronic Check list and if you don t have one thing you won t be able to adopt.
For example I live in an apartment with no fence however my landlord doesn t mind having dogs and I have a tie out, Even tho I never leave my dog outside alone on it, this was a no go for all the shelters I had looked at in New Hampshire, this shelter didn t mind it a single bit. The only thing that had worried me was the fact that the vet I used had some how lost my records and they couldn t find them, the ones that I had was destroyed in flood.
This was the part that had worried me a bit but I know they do these things and it s to ensure their animals go to a good home. They were more then understanding and after talking to my references they were more then satisfied to allow the adoption to take place.
Since adopting harley we have been more then over joyed about our decision to come here and we will definitely be coming back when we want another animal.
