I used the AAA car buying program to find out what kind of discounts I would get on various models I was looking at. My first stop was Inver Grove Toyota where I met with Mary Igoe; she had been in touch with me via email in the weeks before my visit. It became obvious right away that the Yaris & Scion weren't going to be the right cars for me so she suggested a Prius, which I thought would be out of my price range. Not so! All it took was a test drive & I was in love. I was hesitant to sign any papers & Mary was persuasive without being pushy. The woman was twinkling! Since the Prius has always been my dream car, I was thrilled. Because I opted for some special features that needed to be added, we arranged to meet in a couple of days & I'd pick up the car then. At that meeting, everyone was super organized & it took very little time to sign the papers. Mary was extremely busy but took the time to show me what I needed to know so I could safely drive home (I was terrified). She has made a follow up call, as has the person who approved the loan. They wanted to make sure I was happy with my car & the experience at their dealership. I can honestly say it was the best car buying experience I've ever had. The only thing I'm wondering about--& I have to check on this because I didn't think of it when I was signing papers--is what kind of discount I got because I chose their dealership through AAA. I don't see it on my paperwork, despite Mary's assurance that there was a discount. My fault; too excited. Because I hadn't planned on looking at a Prius, I didn't have the discount certificate from AAA. I stopped at a couple of dealerships on my way out of town just to look at a few other vehicles & confirm that I made the right choice. There was no doubt in my mind I chose wisely, thanks to Mary. I read some reviews before my first visit to the dealership & everything I read was positive. They are a top-notch business & if you're looking for a Toyota, it's the place to go.
