Visited here Early March 2018, what I liked is that the food was really good and not too expensive. There are a few things though that I think this particular Joe's crab shack on the Galveston sea wall should improve upon.
#1 Noise, this place is entirely way too loud, this is due to the loud music playing on speakers, the concrete floors, and no soft surfaces to absorb sound. You cannot have a normal conversation at this restaurant without screaming at people across the table.
The management should invest in additional walls and carpet and sound absorbent cushioning on walls and ceilings. I used a smartphone app decibel meter and it was routinely over 80 dB. (I know it's not calibrated actual instrument but it helps you understand the picture)
#2 Good God, what a horrible idea to utilize sand at the playground! Needs to be replaced with concrete with a recycled rubber padding. Kids throwing sand into each other's eyes and dragging sand all into the restaurant.
#3 Call ahead seating and reservations need to be implemented, because this place gets busy.
