I was under the impression that Shands is an advanced hospital. My mom was recently admitted and during her stay she was given fried chicken and macaroni and cheese for dinner. My mom is a type 2 diabetic and has heart disease, along with many other ailments. When the staff was questioned about my mom's food, we were told that the nutritionist said that fried chicken and macaroni and cheese was an appropriate meal for my mom.
Keeping them sick so they'll keep coming back must be the motto. Try a little harder people of Shands.
