One of the famous and oldest markets in Dhaka city. Everything can be found here for your daily life at a reasonable price. But you have to bargain a lot. Shops are very well arranged, a mosque is located inside the market. Remains very crowded in friday and in eid and Puja shopping time.
But there are a lots of hawkers who occupied most of the paths creating problems during walking. And also there are a large number of food shops, who sometimes creat hullabaloo themselves for one customer!!

No matter, this market is a blessing for all low to mid range people.
