Stayed here for 6 nights February 2019. The hotel lobby was under major renovations during the time we were there. Check in was ok but there was no info provided by the hotel check in staff about the hotel surroundings, transportation, etc. Thankfully, I did my homework and read a lot of helpful reviews from TA/google. Our standard room was clean but shower door was broken and the safe did not work. There was not enough power outlets so we ended up unplugging a lamp in order to charge our phones. There is a kettle but no coffee machine.

As to the location, it is quite far from the city center. The hotel is 2 mins walk to Balduina train station BUT the schedule isn't very frequent AND last train is around 10pm (from subway Valle Aurelia) so if you plan on staying late in central Rome, make sure you have a way back. One night we missed the last train and had to taxi it back to the hotel from Valle Aurelia station which cost 18 euro. From there, you transfer to the subway line MA to get to the city center.

There is restaurant Capperi right beside the hotel which has amazing food! Let them know you're staying at the hotel and you get 10% off (the hotel doesn't mention it but I read it on reviews). It closes at midnight. If you need some essentials, there is a small variety store across the street. There is also a small coffee shop next to the train station that opens early.

Overall, I would not stay here again if visiting Rome. It is too far from the city center. Even with the train station next to the hotel, the schedule is not frequent and it takes away a lot of time traveling to and from the hotel. There is also not much shops/restaurants around the hotel.
