The problem with "legends" is that they forget what made them legendary and they fall into the trap of thinking that their act is a showcase for their personality or their politics. This was aptly demonstrated in a recent concert by the "legend", Buddy Guy. He spent the entire concert in a continuous dialogue with the audience and he failed to do more than one or two songs all the way through. Perhaps he is bored with performing the songs which made him a legend, but, alas, that is not my problem!!! I paid $126 so that my friends and I could be introduced to a "legend". I want my money back!!! If you want to see some hardworking musicians who really know the blues check out "The Peacemakers" at Evangelines at 10 pm every Wednesday. That is money well spent!!!
