My husband and i were staying on the island and the picture of the cinnamon roll on this site made me want to go get one!
The coffee shop is modern and they roast their own beans. The Cinnamon roll was pretty good too. But being in the Valley, it isn t a typical coffee bar because they also cater to the huge Mexican clientele here. Both the coffee and the roll hit the spot but what they do best is service . We came in right after a rush. We actually had to wait for parking. Once we got inside it was packed but a table was just being cleaned and we were seated and quickly attended to.
What I enjoyed was watching the staff. Particularly the two young men (Sunday morning about 11:30am). They were fast and friendly and from behind the coffee bar greeted everyone that came in and thanked everyone that left. I saw several customers light up as they were leaving because basic manners and greetings are hard to find today. Well done young men!

It s very typically something you d see in the RGV but if you re visiting from up north, just don t expect a typical coffee bar. It s a coffee bar/ American Mexican restaurant. While it s very cool in that it fits the Valley, the downside is that it isn t stellar in the coffee arena because it caters to all kinds of customers and not just focused on coffee. I enjoy it though and would go back.
