It appears that those who have posted negative reviews here have no idea how emergency "triage" works. It is not based on who arrived first. Logic dictates that those who present with symptoms that suggest death is imminent, are treated first. Therefore, those with a broken finger, for example, must wait while those with life threatening conditions are saved. The term "patients" is used for a logical reason too.
My experience at Mackenzie Health...
Outstanding treatment and care.
I was in the Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital April 30 May 3 General Surgery 4th floor. I had the best of care from everyone who looked after me both pre and post surgery to remove my gall bladder.
Due to the excellent skills of the surgical team I awoke on the morning of May 1 and the symptoms that brought me to the hospital were completely gone. After performing the surgery between 1 and 3 AM Sunday morning the surgeon who had previously advised my wife to go home, kept her promise and called her at 4 AM to provide a full report. When do doctors sleep? Are they not aware of the health effects of sleep deprivation? The doctor also made an impression on me through her excellent bedside manner and compassion.
All of the nurses looked after me very well too. They were concerned about my comfort and any pain I might be experiencing. I assured them I was not in pain but they kept asking about it.
Many thanks to all who cared for me during my time of need. :-)
