I attempted to use their roadside service on October 19, 2017. I got a flat tire on I-95 in Philadelphia. I had just changed my car insurance to Progressive and didn't know whether I had roadside coverage or not. I contacted the roadside service number and spoke with a CSR. During that conversation she asked me whether I had coverage. I told her that I wasn't sure because I had just changed to Progressive about a week earlier. She said she couldn't check with Progressive. Then she said I would have to let out of pocket and it has to be cash. As she was getting the information for the place I wanted it to be towed to, I lost her. She never called me back as she said she would. I am sitting on one of the most dangerous highways in the US. I then called the roadside number again and got another CSR. It sounded as though she was at home. It was close to 7:30 pm, so the CSR told me she couldn't help me because she was getting off shift. She then said she would stay a couple of minutes late, but when she went on the computer of shut down. She told me that I would have to call back. I called for the third time, this time completely pissed off. I then spoke with at least 3 supervisors. The last one, who by the way was in Tuscon, Arizona. I am in Philly, and they are trying to help me from Arizona. They had to ask me a number of times where I was. It was ludicrous. Then they attempted to check if I had coverage. They told me that since I had just gotten a new policy that they probably would not be able to confirm it. It took them over an hour to tell me this. They then charged me $125 for the tow, and they I would be reimbursed for it the next day. Have not heard from them yet. Did not get towed until 9:30 pm.
