To give a brief summary of our beautiful trip to Polynesia with Austral Lagons we loved it, loved it, we already want to go back! We quickly forgot the little "galleys" before departure linked to the Covid, and the wearing of a mask for more than 24 hours on the plane.
The technical stop in Vancouver went very smoothly, it was quick and efficient. On the outward and return flight, TN provides top-notch service (no wonder if you compare with FrenchBee or AF !).
For the other services everything went perfectly from start to finish, transfers and activities were very well provided every time. We had the chance to be alone during our excursion to meet the dolphins at the Dolphin Center in Moorea, we even had the photos offered as a bonus! A truly magical moment, apart, and with the hotel really empty and deserted, it accentuated the dream bubble effect!
The ceremony at Tiki Village was also a truly unforgettable moment for us. We completely forgot about the evening canceled before departure, and for good reason ... the view of the lagoon for lunch in compensation was breathtaking, and we had a "public" of children who attended our ceremony that day. -the. And since we added the photos option, we will have to buy a lot of frames to immortalize it all!
In terms of activities, we let go a bit on the spot ... I did a first dive in Bora with 2 other discovery dives (alone with my instructor because not many people, so great!), And my husband validated his level 1 at the Bora Diving Center that we really recommend (we had a great time with the instructors and the other divers). He did 2 dives again at Rangi in the Tiputa pass, and I snorkelling with him at the end of the day on 08/07, where we had the chance to swim with several dolphins, and there were also big sharks ! We were at The 6 Passengers center, which is really great too, we recommend
We also did the excursion to Tahaa from Raiatea for the day (we booked through the Ixora pension), and it was well worth the look!
The last excursion to the reef island was great too with Rangiroa Excursions, thanks to Laetitia and Marius for their patience during the braiding workshop!
Accommodation level, special mention for the Hibiscus hotel. I knew it was top notch but we were really delighted to stay there: upgrade on our arrival to the beachfront bungalow (which is the only one I think), because we were a priori the first international tourists to arrive there. 'hotel. The staff is very attentive and the restaurant offers a varied cuisine, and the view of the lagoon is so beautiful!
The other hotels and pensions were also really top notch, a magnificent lagoon view in Bora and Rangi (but that I m not telling you!).
Small flat on the restaurant of Maitai Rangiroa suddenly in comparison with the previous ones, which is much less varied, but since we know that everything is imported we do not hold it against.
Second upgrade to a sea view room at the Manava Suite at the end of the stay, with the view of the beautiful infinity pool and the breathtaking view of Moorea, it was really good to end the stay without being too "out of step" between Rangiroa and the back home.
In short ... Bravo to all providers, Polynesians adapt very well and do everything to make tourists feel as good as possible on site, despite the mandatory barrier and mask measures in restaurants, closed places, or during transfers and plane / boat trips. We can see that they are much less worried than we are here, despite the "return" of the covid since the reopening, compliance with the measures is not a brake on tourism there, on the contrary.
