I called Touro earlier this week to schedule an appointment as a new patient as my husband and I are ready to conceive. I had my first child at Ochsner Baptist and my OBG was out of town so the experience was ok but I kept hearing commercials on the radio about what an exceptional experience it would be to give birth at Touro so I wanted to try something new. When I called the main line, the operator answered and I told her the reason for my call. She was very short with me replying that this is the operator. I ll transfer you to the correct person. Once transferred, the receptionist was unbelievably short with me, often times talking over me before I could finish my sentence. When I told her I was a new patient, she cut me off, Date of birth? Ummmm, ok. Are staff that much in a rush that you can t be courteous? A new patient? I made an appointment but am canceling. That left a bad taste in my mouth. I ll be going back to Ochsner.
