I dont know why this place gets good reviews. Its charming, in a way, the atmosphere is as described, a trailer with good ol' boy tunes playing. The staff seemed very kind and helpful and the food arrived very quickly. On the positive side, its byob, as stated earlier the waitstaff is friendly and the iced coffee is very good and they didnt seem to charge for fountain refills, which is cool. On the downside the food is definately low quaility and sub par. Deep fried chicken with no real flavor and a small amount of meat. The biscuts and gravy are worse than dennys, youre better off going up the road. The brisket was atrocious, tasted old and very fatty and similar to something the lunchlady would unenthusiastically slap onto my tray in highschool. It was gross. The waffles are really unimpressive and dry AF and whatever they pass off as raspberry butter seems to be butter with a little bit of red food coloring. It was actually very disappointing which sucked because it was also not low priced. Im no food snob, but i appreciate a good meal and this place doesnt deliver if thats what you are anticipating. I always say, I just want good food at a fair price and this place missed the mark by a mile. Its grossly overpriced for the small portions and meager quality. There are much better places to eat if youd like a bang for your buck. I wish this place well, but im not about to blow smoke up their a**es and pretend they are something they aren't. They need to step their game up immensely. The fact that people are raving about this place is shocking. Are these paid reviews? Are they friends of the staff and owners? Who knows. Maybe people get super drunk and eat here and think its awesome, all i know is it sucked.
