I was taken by ambulance to Cedar Park Regional Ho...

I was taken by ambulance to Cedar Park Regional Hospital in June 2018 with excruciating and debilitating pain in my head. I was treated for a migraine and given a CAT scan although I knew it was much more serious than a migraine. To make a long story short, I spent almost two weeks at this hospital, most of which was in the critical care unit only to be moved to a "regular" room without even having a diagnosis!! I was being given every pain medication there was without any relief in sight! I was seen by a neurologist one night who reviewed my CAT scan and finally ordered an MRI. She came into my room ONE time and said "You are really a mystery! We can see white specks around your brain but not exactly sure why!" After expecting the worst and not hearing back from her after 48 hrs my family demanded that we speak to the neurologist immediately. After waiting and waiting, another doctor came in only to tell us that he was filling in for my neurologist but was not sure what was going on because he had not reviewed my file. When asking questions as to what my diagnosis was, he preceded to tell us that he was not actually a neurologist but a LUNG DOCTOR!! WHAT?? My family had to fight to have him release me and made arrangements to see a real doctor! We left, in my robe and all and drove straight to St David's where they were awaiting our arrival. They immediately admitted me and had me in a room within 15 minutes and a diagnosis that same day!!! What I was being treated as a MIGRAINE at CEDAR PARK REGIONAL was actually a brain disease called RCVS!!! The neurologists at the hospital were astounded by the fact that an angiogram was never done when it should have been one of the first tests done after the MRI. I am now paying several doctor and hospital bills to CP for a very unnecessary week and a half stay! Needless to say I tell people at every chance I get to stay away from this incompetent hospital!!
