Review of Hotel H10 Ocean Maya y Coral

We stayed at this hotel for only 5 days and then moved to another hotel because of LOTS, LOTS, LOTS of seaweed. About the hotel: we were very satisfied there, the area was very nice, a bit old, but very decent housekeeping, always very clean! Staff super friendly, perfectly trained, helpful, nice, great hosts and that's how it should be! Restaurants: Mexican restaurant very tasty, attentive staff, Japanese restaurant: funny show ... good food, main restaurant (buffet) very good!
In this hotel we would certainly have had the perfect vacation, had it not been for the tons of SEEGRAS. Bathing in the sea, lying on the beach is unfortunately not possible because seaweed everywhere (see pictures) and with it an insane smell of rotten eggs and fish! But this is everywhere in Playa del Carmen and affects not only this hotel but everyone! WHO WISH TO TRAVEL TO MEXICO SHOULD INQUIRE IN ADVANCE FROM THE TOUR OPERATOR OR ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THE SEEGRAS !!!!! We then, after massive pressure on our tour guide, moved to another hotel with a fantastic beach and azure blue sea ... However, this new hotel TRS Coral (see further review) came to the Ocean Maya in friendliness, trained staff and quality Food not even close!

It's a shame that pollution is destroying these beautiful beaches!

Without seaweed, the Ocean Maya would have been a great vacation !!
