If study life had a name, it would have been Alden Library! From an academic-life-perspective, Alden is the best thing about Ohio University and Athens in general. Spread over multiple storeys, Alden used to be my haunt when I was in grad school. Want to study? Get some work done? Research? Pull your group together to meet that deadline? Finals week? Or, just socialize and meet great people? Looking to run into some international students for cultural exchange? Man, Alden can do all this and more for you.

It has so many levels - Each level has it's own vibe. I loved the practicality and the sheer energy of 2nd and 4th. Some people prefer the warmer 3rd. Some the peace and quiet of the 6th. You sort of have to find your own zone and what works for you. Alden's got a little something for everyone.

Very helpful staff. You can book study rooms for group work. Free wifi. Cheap printing. A great cafe on the 2nd floor. During mid-terms and finals, you can literally spend the whole night here. Also, very convenient transportation - including late at night. At least three of four bus stops nearby. Just Google them.

Alden, you're awesome!
